A Zorra ou foi abandonada há muitos anos no Cabo Espichel ou nasceu lá. Sempre foi lá vista, "selvagem". As suas crias eram mortas a tiro, por alguém que gosta de o fazer com frequência. É só saber que aparece lá algum animal e lá está o carro e a arma. As tentativas para capturar a Zorra foram muitas, mas um dia conseguimos enganá-la! Entrou na armadilha! Foi logo esterilizada. Esteve quase um ano sem sair da casota dela, comia, defecava, fazia tudo lá dentro. Demorou a vir ver os raios de sol.
Hoje, deixa-se estar no canil, olha para nós e até ladra. O tempo ensina tudo...

Zorra was abandoned many years ago on Cabo Espichel or maybe she was born there. She was always seen there, a “wild dog”. Her puppies were every time shot dead by someone who frequently does it for fun. If any animal appears there, it either dies killed by a car or shot.
We tried many times to catch Zorra and finally one day we managed to confuse her and she entered into a trap. Immediately afterwards she was sterilised. She entered the shelter and she spent the first year without practically leaving her little house. She did everything inside there, she ate there, she defecated there. It took a long time until she went out one day to see the sunlight.
Nowadays she is much more relaxed in the shelter. She looks at us, sometimes she barks. Time heals wounds ….
