A Margarida está a recuperar muito bem. É uma cadela tão meiga que está sempre agarrada a nós. Convive com gatinhos, brinca com eles e espera-se que rapidamente fique a 100% para ser adoptada. Ela tirou os ferros há uma semana por isso ainda não usa normalmente aquela pata.

You remember Margarida? A dog that was found 3 months ago laying on the side of the road with legs and hip fractures and from what we know she has been lying there for days? And the hip fracture was at least a year old?Well, she has been making a remarkable progress. After several operations she is now much better. The last cast from her leg was taken away a week ago and she can walk now although there is one leg she still does not use but she will. She is lovely, friendly, grateful. So grateful. She is now in a temporary family with many cats and dogs but needs a permanent home.

A Margarida foi encontrada na berma da estrada, mais concretamente na valeta, e pelo que foi dito, já lá estava há dias.Tem as cabeças dos femures fora do sítio e também um dos ossos da articulação da pata dianteira. Terá de ser submetida a intervenções para que possa andar... Como ela deve ter sofrido estes dias. É extremamente dócil e tem uns olhos de mel. Dizer que os animais não sentem, é desumano, ela estava a sofrer em silêncio e olhava para nós com ternura! Vamos tentar salvar a Margarida e encontrar-lhe um lar que lhe dê o que nunca teve.

Margarida was found laying on the side of the road and from what we have heard, she had been lying there for several days... She had two broken bones and the head of the femur dislocated and another fracture in the articulation of the front leg.She will need several surgeries to be able to walk again.
We can only imagine waht this animal has suffered - laying on the side of the road for several days with broken legs, without anyone paying attention to her. And yet, when we took her, she was so sweet, so submissive, so grateful. Animals cannot feel? Cannot suffer? Yes, they can - they suffer in silence, they don't complain, write petitions, make demonstrations, go on strike! They need our help. We will try to save Margarida and give her a good life she has never had.....

Mirbessa: Adopta-me!

Depois de um sábado (5/10)cheio de trabalho no abrigo da Bianca estavamos de regresso a casa quando nos deparámos na estrada com um animal a andar cansado e cabisbaixo. Ao dirigirmo-nos ao animal vimos que era uma "menina" doce e meiga e que veio até nós prontamente, sem medo. Chamámos Mirbesa. Entrou para o carro e deitou-se rapidamente, o cansaço era enorme. A noite estava a cair e não era possível perceber a sua pelagem. No dia seguinte apercebemo-nos do seu real estado e foi vista pelo médico veterinário.

A Mirbessa sofre de tiroidismo. Tem de tomar letter ou tiroxil para sempre. É fácil, barato e sem problemas. Ela já está muito melhor e parece outra cadelinha. A pele cicatrizou e o pêlo nasceu. Agora..... bem, só falta uma familia às diereitas;-)

On Saturday 5/10, after the usual day full of work, we were leaving Bianca shelter to go home when we say a dog on the side of the road - walking slowly and with difficult, head down. We stopped, the animal looked very tired, open the door of the car and she - it was a girl - entered the car immediately and lied down on the seat. Very tired. The night was falling so it wasn't possible to see her properly: we took her to the shelter and the next day we had a look at her properly. Covered with wounds.

The vet diganosed her with thyroidism. She will always need to take a daily dose of a synthetic thyroid hormone. But this is not complicated and not expensive, with this she will always be healthy. She is already much better, her wounds closed and her fur started to grow back. She is a nice doggy and now she only needs a good home.

Leo foi adoptado cachorro de 2 meses, devolvido pelo dono irresponsavel depois de 10 meses, timido e asustado. Agora ja esta melhor./ Leo was adopted as a puppy of 2 months, given back after 10 months but irresponsible ex-owner, scared and shy. Now he is better already.

Josefin: Adopta-me!

Cadela/ 1,5 ano/ porte medio/ esterilizada/muito meiga, mas timida

Encontrada com cio, ficou prenha mas foi logo esterilizada. Deixou-se apanhar a medo. É muito tímida. Agora vive numa boxe de um canil e está cada vez mais tímida. As boxes não ajudam em nada a socialização dos animais.
A Josefin é um amor e necessita de alguém muito carinhoso que lhe mostre que só a quer ajudar e dar-lhe conforto.

Female/ 1,5 year old/ medium/ sterilised/very gentle but shy

Josefin was found on the streets a few months ago, already pregnant. She was immediately sterilised. It was not easy to catch her, she was quite scared of people. But we managed. Now she is in the shelter, in a kennel but she is still shy. Or actually even more shy now. Living in the kennel does not help the socialisation of animals - they only see a limited number of people, those that clean their kennels and give them food - and they are used to those people but are scared of others. Josefin is shy but she could be encouraged - if adopted by someone who would have patience with her and give her love and affection, she would learn to trust. She is still very young. Please consider giving her a chance.
